I have seen enough photographic evidence of them being used to not feel inauthentic if I were to use them, even though it does appear pretty limited compared to those troopers going without. But I guess since they all break it's a moot point anyway. Who knows, maybe they had the same problem with the originals. Either way, I guess I'm going without. Thanks!!

I seem to recall from somewhere, that some guys did use the wire snap from link straps to attach their sabers to their belts. I would tend to think that this was more of a later war thing since as the war progressed they were dismounting and fighting on foot more frequently. I'll have to dig around for the reference. Dave
