Specifically, I'm looking for contact information for "Sam Grant" (Pete Schumaker), but this thread would be a nice place to post contact information and terms for anyone that rents or leases horses for reenacting, like Skubleck[sp?], Worlick, etc.
Jerry, He has a web site at www.usgrant.org. The last I knew his price was 250$ from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternon. This also included saddle and tack, but you have to have the horses back on "his" picket line at night.
Ken Doyon Bugler 1st Maine Cavalry "Sound out mighty bugles, Blow with strength to end battles. Pierce the smoke-heavy air with Your strains of noble commands. Calls for the weary, Calls for the wounded, Sound out to guide, Sound out to fortify. Warm the soldier’s heart, Ease the officer's burden. Sound out gentle bugle. Sound out to end this war." Jerry Pollard
Yea, Don is staying pretty busy these days with lessons and trail rides. I ride out there every weekend minus the one weekend when everything was frozen over. Its really a great place to ride. Streams to cross, hills, woods, plenty of challenging terrain. I even dressed out for last Sundays ride since I was itching to get back in the wool. ;D

topkick1833, thank you for posting Don's website!!
I found him, thanks to you, in April of this year (2008) and began bording out there this past July. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place and friendlier staff! Pete and I are really enjoying it there.
