I got into reenacting a few years ago. Started out infantry, then was progressing into dismounted Cavalry. This was with the Comstock Civil War Reenactors out of Reno, Nevada. I developed some health problems and wound up moving back to my wifes home town of Logan, Utah. There is a reenacting group out of Salt Lake City, but no Cavalry. There are some Indian Wars reenactors around but I lost their contact info. I would prefer to do Civil War. While I am by no means politically correct Indian war seems dificult. Basically because it is hard to do a battle. No one wants to be the Indians. I have done some living history at the American West Heritage Center and at the Golden Spike Monument. Also at the New California Trail Center in Elko, NV. While I am still overcoming some health concerns I would like to see a Cavalry Unit in Utah. I am difinatly a Union Man but we would need Rebs to. Anyone interested?
"Many of us volunteered to fight for the Union. Some came mainly because we were bored at home and this looked like it might be fun. Some came because we were ashamed not to. Many came because it was the right thing to do." Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, 20th Maine Infantry at Gettysburg.

Another 2nd Cavalry company A. It'll go nicely with the other two company A's. There's 12 companies in a CW era Federal cavalry regiment - you'd think someone could come up with a letter somewhere past A.
