Speaking on behalf of the 7th United States Cavalry, Headquarters Department (Indian War Period) I would like to invite any and all interested mounted reenactors out to Montana next year to take part in the 130th anniversary of, “Custer’s Last Stand.”
The reenactment is held annually on the Real Bird Ranch on a piece of the actual battlefield, not to be confused with the much more public show in Hardin. The reenactment is held the weekend closest to June 25th and will include rides through Reno’s skirmish line area, a memorial ceremony at Last Stand Hill, a battle at 2 each day, and a living history camp. For those of you who are a little more relaxed with your impressions there is a modern camp also.
We would be honored to have anyone willing to come out, come out and look forward to riding with you. If you’re interested send me an e-mail at email@example.com and we will organize you all into a single company under Captain Keogh’s command which will ride WITH headquarters.
